Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz pasta spaghetti or linguine
  • 3 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 4 cloves garlic sliced or minced
  • 1 lemon zested and juiced
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 0.5 tsp salt or to taste
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper freshly cracked
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve some pasta water and drain.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add red pepper flakes if using.
  4. Add pasta, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Toss well.
  5. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen sauce.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper.
  7. Remove from heat, toss with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Serve immediately for best flavor. Add Parmesan if desired.
