Ingredients
  

Cookie Batter
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips melted
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.66 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.33 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and butter together until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. Whip eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until pale and thick.
  4. Mix in the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.
  5. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Fold gently into wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips or chunks. Let batter rest 10 minutes.
  7. Scoop batter onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake 10–12 minutes until shiny and crinkled on top. Cool on wire racks.

Notes

For extra shiny tops, whip eggs and sugar for the full 4 minutes.
