Ingredients
  

Bread Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.25 cup milk
Cinnamon Swirl
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Streusel Topping
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or grease a standard loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. Mix in sour cream. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until just combined.
  6. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
  7. Layer half the batter in the pan, sprinkle cinnamon swirl, top with remaining batter.
  8. Mix streusel ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle over batter.
  9. Bake 50–55 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  10. Cool 15 minutes in pan, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or drizzle with vanilla glaze after cooling.
