Method
- Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet or use a roasting pan.
- Mix Chex cereal, pretzels, nuts, and optional mix-ins in a large bowl.
- In a saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour hot toffee over dry mix and stir quickly to coat.
- Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Spread out to cool completely before breaking apart.
- Store in airtight containers.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle flaky sea salt on the mix while cooling.
