- Combine ground beef, onion, garlic, jalapeño, egg, breadcrumbs, cilantro, and spices in a large bowl.
- Shape mixture into balls, inserting a cube of cheese in the center and rolling tightly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry balls in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.
