Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef ribeye or sirloin
  • 1 cup kimchi chopped
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Equipment

  • Skillet or griddle
  • Mixing bowls
  • Tongs
  • Knife and cutting board

Method
 

  1. Mix marinade ingredients and coat beef thoroughly.
  2. Cook onions until softened and set aside.
  3. Sear marinated beef over high heat.
  4. Add kimchi and cook until fragrant.
  5. Melt cheese over beef mixture.
  6. Assemble sandwiches on toasted rolls.

Notes

Use well-fermented kimchi for the best depth of flavor.
