Ingredients

Turkey
  • 3-4 lb turkey breast boneless or bone-in
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup pure
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1.5 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp thyme dried
  • 1 tsp sage dried
  • 0.5 tsp rosemary dried

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method

  1. Pat turkey dry and place sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Whisk together maple syrup, melted butter, Dijon, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour half the glaze into the slow cooker, place turkey on top, and add remaining glaze.
  4. Cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  5. Optional: transfer turkey to a baking sheet and broil 3–5 minutes to caramelize.
  6. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use pure maple syrup for best flavor; broiling enhances color and caramelization.
