Ingredients
  

Cookie Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp smoked paprika optional
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies cereal lightly crushed
  • 1 tbsp cold water as needed

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, salt, and paprika.
  3. Cream softened butter until smooth, then mix in shredded cheddar.
  4. Add the flour mixture and mix on low speed until combined.
  5. Fold in the lightly crushed Rice Krispies gently.
  6. Add cold water as needed just until dough comes together.
  7. Form 1-inch dough balls and place on baking sheet.
  8. Flatten balls slightly with fingers or a glass bottom.
  9. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden around the edges.
  10. Cool fully on wire racks before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add cayenne pepper or garlic powder.
