Method
- Grease a baking dish and fill with cubed bread.
- Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together.
- Pour custard over bread and press lightly to soak.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40–50 minutes until golden and set.
- Cool briefly, then serve with maple syrup or toppings of choice.
Notes
For extra crunch, add a pecan streusel before baking.
