Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1.5 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
  • 0.25 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp cornstarch slurry optional
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes optional
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken on both sides until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant.
  4. Stir in honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and chicken broth.
  5. Return chicken to skillet and simmer until cooked through.
  6. Optional: Stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken sauce.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust sweetness by adding more lemon juice if desired.
