Ingredients
  

Skillet Dinner
  • 1 lb Italian sausage mild or spicy
  • 1 tbsp olive oil if sausage is lean
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small yellow onion diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb potato gnocchi
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp chili flakes optional
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup spinach optional

Equipment

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and onion; sauté until softened.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and cream; stir in seasonings.
  4. Add gnocchi, cover, and simmer 6–8 minutes.
  5. Stir in Parmesan until melted.
  6. Add spinach and wilt, then adjust seasoning.
  7. Serve warm with herbs and extra Parmesan.

Notes

For extra richness, stir in 1 tbsp butter at the end.
