Ingredients
  

Cookie Batter
  • 4 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
  3. Stir in diced onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  4. Add diced potatoes, salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Cover skillet and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove lid and cook 5–7 more minutes to crisp potatoes.
  7. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top and cover until melted.
  8. Serve hot with optional toppings.

Notes

For extra crispiness, do not overcrowd the pan when browning meat.
