- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
- Stir in diced onion and garlic; cook until softened.
- Add diced potatoes, salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Cover skillet and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove lid and cook 5–7 more minutes to crisp potatoes.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top and cover until melted.
- Serve hot with optional toppings.
Notes
For extra crispiness, do not overcrowd the pan when browning meat.
