- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the chicken with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chili powder if using.
- Add chicken to the skillet and sear until lightly browned on all sides.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in the uncooked rice to toast it slightly.
- Whisk together BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, and chicken broth.
- Pour mixture into the skillet and stir well.
- Bring to a simmer, reduce heat, cover, and cook for 18–22 minutes.
- Let rest 5 minutes, then fluff and garnish with parsley.
Notes
For extra glossiness, drizzle more honey-BBQ sauce on top before serving.
