Ingredients
  

Almond Filling
  • 2 cups ground almonds
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp orange blossom water
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
Pastry
  • 12 sheets phyllo dough
  • 0.5 cup melted butter
Honey Syrup
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp orange blossom water
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Mix ground almonds, sugar, cinnamon, orange blossom water, and butter.
  2. Cut phyllo into strips and fill with almond paste.
  3. Roll tightly into cigar shapes and brush with butter.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 18–22 minutes until golden.
  5. Drizzle warm honey syrup and garnish with sesame seeds.

Notes

Can be baked or fried depending on preference.
