Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.75 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs large
  • 2 tbsp lemon zest
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice fresh
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
Glaze
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp lemon juice fresh

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan thoroughly.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
  4. Mix in lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and yogurt, mixing just until combined.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 45–55 minutes until set.
  7. Cool, invert cake, and drizzle with lemon glaze before serving.

Notes

Use fresh lemons for the best flavor and aroma.
