Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 cup ground chicken or beef
  • 0.5 cup cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup shredded Mexican-blend cheese
  • 0.5 cup black beans mashed
  • 0.5 cup corn kernels
  • 0.25 cup red bell pepper diced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 24 wonton wrappers

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Deep skillet or fryer
  • Wire rack

Method
 

  1. Mix all filling ingredients in a bowl until combined.
  2. Place filling in center of wonton wrappers and seal edges with water.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry wontons until golden and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  5. Drain and serve hot with dipping sauces.

Notes

Can be baked or air-fried for a lighter option.
