Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
Crescent Layer
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg optional, for brushing

Equipment

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and fold in ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  5. Unroll crescent dough and press perforations to seal. Line the baking dish with the dough.
  6. Spread the meat mixture over the dough.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Rest 5–10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley.

Notes

For extra cheesiness, add more mozzarella on top before baking.
