Ingredients
  

Jam Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups strawberries fresh or frozen, hulled
  • 1 orange zest and juice
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp cloves
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional

Method
 

  1. Combine cranberries, strawberries, orange juice, water, and sugar in a large saucepan.
  2. Stir in cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
  3. Bring mixture to a boil and cook for 10–12 minutes until cranberries burst.
  4. Mash the fruit with a masher to desired texture and reduce heat.
  5. Add orange zest and lemon juice; simmer 5–10 more minutes until thickened.
  6. Let cool slightly, then transfer to sterilized jars and refrigerate.

Notes

Jam thickens further as it cools. Freeze for long-term storage.
