Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Topping
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy.
  3. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix and knead until smooth.
  4. Let dough rise until doubled in size, about 45 minutes.
  5. Roll dough into a rectangle and place on baking sheet.
  6. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with garlic powder, herbs, and cheeses.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Cool slightly, slice into breadsticks, and serve warm.

Notes

Best served warm. Reheat in oven for crisp edges.
