Ham Salad Base
  • 3 cups cooked ham finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 cup celery finely diced
  • 0.25 cup red onion minced
  • 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice fresh
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp paprika
  • to taste salt

Method
 

  1. Finely chop the cooked ham and place it in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add mayonnaise and Dijon mustard, stirring gently to coat the ham.
  3. Mix in celery, red onion, and sweet pickle relish.
  4. Add parsley, lemon juice, black pepper, paprika, and salt.
  5. Stir until evenly combined and creamy but still chunky.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use high-quality cooked ham and allow the salad to chill before serving.
