Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 0.75 cup milk warm
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 egg large
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Blackberry Filling
  • 1.5 cups blackberries
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
Vanilla Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast with warm milk and sugar.
  2. Mix in butter, egg, salt, and flour to form dough.
  3. Knead dough until smooth.
  4. Let dough rise for 1 hour.
  5. Cook blackberry filling until thickened.
  6. Roll dough into rectangle and spread filling.
  7. Roll dough into log and slice into rolls.
  8. Let rolls rise 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes.
  10. Drizzle with vanilla glaze before serving.

Notes

Sweet rolls are best served warm for the softest texture.
