Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
Pine Cone Decoration
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chocolate melts
  • 0.5 cup slivered almonds or pecans
  • optional powdered sugar for dusting

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking pan
  • Wire rack
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and stir in sugar until combined. Let cool slightly.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold into wet mixture.
  5. Spread batter into pan and bake 25–30 minutes. Cool completely.
  6. Cut brownies into cone-sized shapes.
  7. Melt chocolate and dip top of each brownie. Layer almond slices to create pine cone effect.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve.

Notes

Optional: use pecans for different nutty flavor or add white chocolate drizzle for decoration.
