- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until softened and translucent.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned.
- Drain excess grease if needed.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Add tomato paste or salsa and simmer for 3–5 minutes.
- Warm tortillas until soft and flexible.
- Fill tortillas with beef mixture and shredded cheese.
- Fold sides and roll tightly into burritos. Serve warm.
Notes
Burritos can be toasted in a skillet for extra crispness or frozen for later meals.
