  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast boneless skinless, diced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp black pepper freshly cracked
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 bell peppers sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 0.25 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp sesame oil optional

Equipment

  • Wok or large skillet
  • Mixing bowls

Method
 

  1. Coat diced chicken with cornstarch.
  2. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, sugar, pepper, and broth.
  3. Cook chicken in hot oil until golden and done. Remove.
  4. Sauté garlic, ginger, onion, and peppers.
  5. Return chicken and add sauce. Simmer until thickened.
  6. Finish with sesame oil and garnish before serving.

Notes

Use freshly cracked black pepper for best flavor. Adjust spice level as desired.
