Ingredients
  

Hot Chocolate Base
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Add milk and heavy cream to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
  2. Whisk in chocolate chips, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and continue cooking for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve warm with desired toppings.

Notes

Stir regularly to prevent chocolate from sticking. Adjust sweetness to taste.
