Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs chicken breasts or thighs
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup carrots sliced
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough cut into pieces

Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. Add vegetables, broth, soup, and seasonings.
  3. Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  4. Shred chicken and return to crock pot.
  5. Add cream and butter, then dumplings.
  6. Cook on HIGH 45–60 minutes until dumplings are done.

Notes

Stir gently and avoid overcooking dumplings.
