Ingredients
  

Shrimp
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
Coating
  • 0.5 cup all purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs beaten
Sauce
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Deep skillet

Method
 

  1. Season shrimp with salt pepper and paprika.
  2. Dip shrimp into egg then coat with flour and cornstarch mixture.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F and fry shrimp until golden and crispy.
  4. Remove shrimp and drain on paper towels.
  5. In a saucepan combine honey garlic soy sauce and sesame oil.
  6. Simmer sauce then add cornstarch slurry to thicken.
  7. Toss fried shrimp with sauce until coated.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

Best served immediately for maximum crispiness.
