Ingredients
  

Pastry & Filling
  • 1 package frozen puff pastry sheets thawed
  • 6 slices ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyère
  • 1 tbsp mustard optional
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley optional for garnish

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • Pastry brush

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry and cut into squares.
  3. Add mustard (optional), ham, and cheese to center of squares.
  4. Top with another pastry square, press edges lightly, and brush with egg wash.
  5. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden and puffed.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Assemble ahead and refrigerate, bake just before serving for best crispiness.
