Method
- Butter a baking dish and arrange bread slices evenly inside.
- Whisk eggs, cream, milk, sugars, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Pour custard over bread, pressing gently to soak.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake uncovered 40–45 minutes until puffed and set.
- Sprinkle sugar evenly on top and caramelize with torch or broiler.
- Serve immediately once sugar hardens.
