Ingredients
  

Milk Tea Base
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tsp black tea loose leaf or 2 tea bags
  • 1.5 cups milk or dairy-free alternative
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp sweetener to taste

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Measuring cups
  • Spoon
  • Tea strainer

Method
 

  1. Heat water in a saucepan until just below boiling.
  2. Add tea and steep for 3–5 minutes, then strain.
  3. Return brewed tea to saucepan and add milk.
  4. Warm gently over low heat without boiling.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract and sweetener.
  6. Heat until steaming, then pour into mugs and serve.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and milk ratio to taste. Add spices for variation.
