Ingredients
  

Main
  • 12 fresh large strawberries with stems
  • 1.5 cups melting chocolate dark or milk
  • 0.25 cup white chocolate for eyes
  • 36 candy corn for feathers and beaks
  • 24 candy eyeballs optional
  • 6 mini pretzel sticks broken into halves for legs
  • 12 red mini sprinkles for wattles

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry strawberries.
  2. Melt chocolate in microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Dip strawberries into melted chocolate and place on parchment-lined sheet.
  4. Press three candy corns onto back of each strawberry to form feathers.
  5. Attach candy eyes and a small candy corn piece to create the face.
  6. Add a red sprinkle to create the wattle.
  7. Attach pretzel legs by dipping their ends in chocolate and placing at the base.
  8. Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes to set before serving.

Notes

Best served same day. Chill only briefly to avoid condensation.
