- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
- Cook rice according to package instructions and set aside.
- Steam broccoli florets for 2–3 minutes until bright green; drain well.
- Melt butter in a skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, then whisk in flour.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth and cream until thickened.
- Season sauce and stir in half of the shredded cheese.
- Combine rice, chicken, broccoli, and sauce in a large bowl.
- Transfer to casserole dish, top with remaining cheese, and bake 25–30 minutes.
Notes
Let casserole rest 5–10 minutes before serving for best texture.
