Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chopped onion until softened.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Stir in taco seasoning and salsa. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Stand taco shells upright in the baking dish and fill evenly with meat mixture.
- Top each taco generously with shredded cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes until shells are crisp and cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven, cool slightly, add toppings if desired, and serve.
Notes
Customize with chicken, beans, or extra spice. Serve immediately for best texture.
