Method
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy.
- Mix flour, salt, and olive oil. Add yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
- Let dough rise 1 hour until doubled.
- Cut mozzarella into cubes.
- Divide dough, shape ropes, add cheese cube, and tie into knots.
- Let knots rise 20–30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes.
- Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, parmesan, and herbs.
- Brush knots with garlic butter and serve warm.
