Method
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Brush the pastry evenly with melted butter.
- Sprinkle blue cheese, walnuts, thyme, pepper, and optional salt evenly across the pastry.
- Roll the pastry tightly from the long edge to form a log.
- Slice the roll lengthwise down the center to expose the layered interior.
- Twist the two halves together with cut sides facing upward.
- Shape into a wreath or twirl and place on the baking sheet.
- Brush the top with egg wash for a golden finish.
- Bake 25–30 minutes or until puffed, crisp, and deep golden.
Notes
Serve warm for the best texture. Add a drizzle of honey after baking for a sweet contrast.
