Ingredients
  

Salmon Fillets
  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 oz each
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 1 lemon zested
Lemon Butter Cream Sauce
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.75 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lemon zested and juiced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp capers optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) and prepare a baking dish.
  2. Pat salmon dry and season with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and lemon zest.
  3. Place seasoned salmon in baking dish and bake for 12–15 minutes until cooked through.
  4. While salmon bakes, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine.
  7. Add lemon juice and zest, simmer until slightly thickened.
  8. Remove sauce from heat and stir in parsley, salt, pepper, and capers if using.
  9. Plate baked salmon and spoon lemon butter cream sauce over fillets before serving.

Notes

Serve with rice, veggies, or potatoes for a full meal.
