Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
- Lightly grease a casserole dish.
- Mix cooked chicken, marinara sauce, and half the mozzarella in a bowl.
- Spread mixture in casserole dish.
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and all Parmesan over top.
- Combine breadcrumbs, olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture evenly over casserole.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Broil 1–2 minutes for extra browning.
- Rest 5 minutes, garnish, and serve.
Notes
For a pasta version, mix in 3 cups cooked penne before baking.
